The Office

Superbowl episode
This was the super bowl episode, and while I thought the teaser was one of the funniest things I have seen, the rest of the episode was kind of "eh" for me. The Jack Black/Cloris Leachman movie did nothing for me, the roast - well I knew that was going to go bad, so yeah, there you have it.
Thursday Episode
I enjoyed the return of Karen, I'm a fan of Kelly, and I feel for Andy. But really this episode came down to one thing. Jim and Dwight should remain the sole individuals on the party planning committee. I can't wait to see next year's Christmas party.

Viva La Revolution!
BSG:
She says
Another stellar episode. You knew Starbuck and Lee didn't really get on that ship. even though Lee has become Mr. Politico, you knew he wouldn't go down without a fight. YAY Romo Lamkin! Loved his moment of hesitation in helping Starbuck, and even more I LOVED the lighting in that shot - so cool.
Speaking of things I loved and Starbuck, she stayed with Anders, got Anders help, and while I am a big Lee and Starbuck fan, I've always like Anders too - not like Duwalla, I dug Starbuck with Anders as well, and I am afraid Anders may be a goner...
OK, on to the Zarak and Gaeta. I knew Zarak was cold, but I forgot how cold he was, gunning down the quorum like that, wow chilled my blood. And Gaeta - the man of science and logic, logically he had thought out every last moment that had played out in the past few years, but the thing i think about people who are so far into everything is an equation, is they are lacking true passion. Gaeta didn't have true passion, he doesn't FEEL as much as he THINKS and I think that sunk him as a revolutioner.
Gaius - wait a second, did he grow up? When did he grow up? That Adama's predictament was so ingrained into his subconcious that he dreamt about it? Growth. That he teared up at Roslin's plea - Growth. That he went back to his fanclub - Growth. And that he had that last meal with Gaeta - GROWTH.
And Roslin - does that woman have passion or what - well, now that she has awoken again - who didn't believe her when she said she was going after them all - I wouldn't want that person after me.
Lastly - Chief Tyrol. Anyone else happy to see the Chief in action again, no longer moping, but seriously stepping up - although nothing would terrify me more then crawling through the ship like he too clausterphobic. Then lastly, the big crack in Galactica. I wonder if they can even jump again.
6 episodes to go.

What can I say JIN woot!!!!!!!! I know some are not enjoying the time flashes, but I am. Espeically when they are giving us history to the island and to the characters. Loved seeing Roussuoe as she arrived on the island. Also, does anyone else think that Myles is really Dr. Hanso's son??? I do. I think that is why he is already getting the nosebleeds.
Sawyer, witnessing the birth of Aaron, by Kate of the past, heartwrenching. He could touch her, but he didn't. What restraint. Think of all the things he could have warned her about at that moment and didn't. He let the past remain, and will be redeemed only by what he does in the present. I am also appreciating the growing frienship of Sawyer and Juliet. And Juliet - is there a cooler cat then Juliet?
I could talk about the Oceanic 6, and the Claire's mom red herring, but ya know what, I was really more interested in the parts that took place on the island. So that is where I am going to stay.
I also now think the woman on the island in last weeks epidsode was Faraday's mother, who I think is Ms Hawkings... I'm wondering if this whole season will be about getting them to the island. I'm also wondering then, once they get there what is left to tell. but Lost always surprises.

Carry on My Wayward Cox

Anytime Ted's acapella group sings I jump for joy, but the fact that they sang Carry On My Wayward Son - WOOT!!!!! I love how the character of Bob Kelso as grown it gives us an idea of who he was before he became Chief of Medicine, and let's us see how much that job can change someone. Another small favorite thing of that episode - the list, and especially the NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EHEHEHEEVVVEERR List that included J.D., Hootch (Hootch is crazy), and Jordan. Probably cause we see a lot of hootch now that Piper has discovered the Suite Life of Zach and Cody.
The second episode with Cox, trying to balance everything, hit a bit close to home at times, I still have faith he can make it through and not become Kelso. His journey is by far the most interesting to me this year.

Fringe:

This was a beautiful episode, I knew Jack #2 (aka Mark Valley) couldn't be the bad guy! Loved the moment at the end with the ring, but I am a romantic. As for Porcupine man, well eww. But most things on Fringe make me say Eww. you just don't eat during Fringe, eating during fringe is even worse then eating during Bones...
Is it just me, or does anyone else out there not trust her pal at the CIA. I don't know why I don't trust him, probably because I have seen one too many J.J. Abrams shows. I also wonder what Olivia's connection is to Nina Sharp. I wonder if she is not somehow related to Nina...

Ok, I know I am one of the small few who are still watching this show, but ya know what - I liked this episode. I thought it was so much better then anything we had seen in a long time, I love the thought of Sylar actually being on the same side of all the heroes for once, I was shocked at the HRG reveal, but I am sure we will find out his reasoning a little down the way. I was creeped out by the loading of the heroes on the plane, and I LOVED that instead of being the damsel in distress, the one all the heroes seem to have rescued, Claire was the one who rescued them. I was actually excited to watch last nights episode, and that has been a long time coming. More on that later.

While I am now getting a better understanding of what Real 3D is, I still didn't see the need for the 3D element, but it didn't tarnish my viewing. I loved the return of Charlie Pace - ok successful non dead rocker Charlie Pace - fine his name wasn't Charlie, but he will always be Charlie to me. I thought Jerome Bettis was a riot, but most of all, I LOVE that at the end of the episode Chuck opened up to Sarah and told her the truth. We only had to sit through one episode with that hanging over us, I was a fraid they would drag it on and on and on. And while I know Chuck still has issues with what Sarah has done, at least it is out in the open. YAY Chuck!

How I Met Your Mother -

I am sorry this show is just too dang smart and creative and really, all about Barney. Neil Patrick Harris is an unstoppable phenom. OK that may be wishful thinking, but i am wishing him to be an unstoppable phenom. I loved how quickly Barney unnoticibly dropped to one knee to propse to Robin, and I love this:
Last Week in Review...it is coming.
OK, so we totally slacked last week - so I will be posting my brief thoughts on EVERYTHING I watched last week. they may be short posts until Tim catches up as well. I also watched Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy this week, but I am not going to comment on them until I actually like the shows again, which in the case of Grey's is when George gets to make more then a 10 second appearance. We haven't watched House or 30 Rock yet. soon though.

BSG:BEST EPISODE ALL SEASON!!!!!
BSG: The Oath
She Says:
I don't know what else to say then that. SO AMAZING!!!!!! My heart as racing the entire time, I was so nervous!!!
Lee & Starbuck's kiss. Lee as a Bad Ass, STARBUCK as the ULTIMATE bad ass. And all I want is for someone to kick out Gaeta's fake leg out from under him.
Roslin choosing LIFE! Balthar putting himself first. Tyrol staying loyal to Adama. LOVED Starbuck and Lee looking like the embarassed kids as the parents make out.
I really can't say much. Just one awesome episode.
The only downer - is did they really go and tell us a certain character dies in the preview? Really? That is making me guess they didn't.

Lost Episode - The Jughead

Awwww Penny and Desmond are having a baby???? OH!!!!!! So Sweet!!! I love these two. While I have always loved the intensity of Skate, the real love story is Desmond and Penny. Although, I am not sure about beardless Desmond, that doesn't seem quite right.
Is it weird that I love it when water hits the camera lens.
Daniel Faraday comes from the Whispering school of acting, seriously, does he know how to project at all?
Sawyer "Why Didn't you shoot???" Expected Answer - Now we can track him back to his camp... not "he is one of my people" crap. Oy! I seriously doubt John Locke is the second coming... But maybe there have been some similarities, he did die, I guess we will see if he can rise again.
Is the chick with the gun the same one who is lying in the bed?

HOLY FRAK!!!! Charles Widmore was on the island and is a Friggin OTHER!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, their baby's name is Charlie, that is totally making me tear up. Until I wrote this and saw the two names back to back, I never put together that there were to Charles on the show Charles (charlie) Pace and Charles Widmore. Now we have a third from a third generation Charles (charlie) Hume. Coincidence? On this show? Doubtful...
And Charlotte is down for the count. This is what I don't get. Daniel helped Desmond when he was deaing with the time travel sickeness, told him he needed a constant, why isn't he telling Charlotte? Why wouldn't he have told her before she starts to go totally down hill?? I don't get it.
I know some people are complaining about the Time Travel aspect of this season - like it is a brand new concept on this show...umm Desmond has been time travelling since Season 2... Just something to think about...
And I am going out on a limb, I have a theory that the voices the Losties heard in the jungle in the previous seasons, was not the others, but the Losties who are now time travelling.
And this episode contained three of my favorite characters, Sawyer, Juliet and Myles. I love Sawyer for his passion, Juliet for her coolness and Myles cause he frakkin sees dead people!!!! :D

Agreed. Penny and Desmond are the most touching love story in the show. Not sure how I feel about a beardless Desmond either.
Yes, it's weird that you like water hitting the camera. What is wrong with you? ;)
The Whispering School of Acting was founded by Marcel Marceau and was for his specially advanced students.
Oh man, not Jesus Locke. I hate Jesus Balthar, I can't have another one.
I think you're right about the girl lying the bed. They look awfully similar otherwise. I was shocked by the Widimore on the island thing too. And he's an Other. Quite a reveal.
I liked the baby being Charlie as well. I didn't see the grand Charlie connections though. Interesting.
I'm not bothered by the time travel. As long as it doesn't get too out of hand. I hope their past selves and future selves don't run into each other. We all know from Back To The Future II what happens then.

Rips on NBC - 1 Deal or No Deal.
Mark my words I will Zwah you by the end of the day.
Oscar the Grouch as the New Chief of Medicine!! Brilliant -oh he and the Janitor are pals - that makes so much sense.
Oscar "I'll be watching you John Dorian, and guess what? My eyes never close!!!!"
AS I saw a live taping of Facts of Life, and love the facts of life, I love that JD keeps calling his intern Jo.
OH!! Poor Grover. he met the Todd, He high -fived the Todd, and then he went flying across the room, but not before commenting on how being fuzzy is good with the women!
My favorite part of all Scrubs episodes is the use of music, I have never heard the Sesame Street theme song sound so melancholy and beautiful. And by the end, I had tears in my eyes.
AS for their switch to ABC, my favorite new thing they are doing is the outclips at the end during the credits.
And it is true, you take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have The Facts of Life. Which can all be learned by watching Sesame Street.
Oh and yes, the little red annoyance made an appearance and did a crazy dance with JD and Jo, but he get's enough airtime, the way he has taken over sesame street - Elmo obviously never learned to share... but that is a story for a different Blog.
Episode 2 - in the morning. :)

While I like Jo, I'm not a fan of Zwah boy. Just don't like him right now and don't care if he is a good doctor. He's annoying. He's a pest, that's what he is. Carrie is right: Jo is now Cox, since Cox is onto a different role.
Great use of the Sesame Street theme throughout the show. Terrific use of music too.
It's so great to see Scrubs going for the human side of the story again. The humor is always there, but it's nice to see them finding the heart in the stories.

Fringe - Episode 12: the no brainer

This is an episode that maybe I shouldn't blog through, but I will anyway. The Episode starts with a teenage boy on the internet when he gets an IM that says "What's that Noise?" Soon there are images ala The Ring scrolling across his screen. The boy is mesmorized by his screen with Tears rolling down his eyes, when a hand appears to reach through the screen, or maybe more correctly stated the screen becomes a hand that grabs the kids head. The credits roll.
Sidenote - I can' no longer hear the song Single Ladies without thinking of Justin Timberlake...
Grrr Argh!!! I want to see what is on that note, but I do not need to see liquidfy brain pouring out of a guys head - gross.
I'm not a big fan of this new beaurocrat guy why add an uneeded complication. Fringe has enough obstacles between Oliva only being told what she needs to know, and the people at Massive Dynamics, we don't need this guy - he reminds me of Chi McBride or Trotter when they were on House, completely useless characters just there to make viewing the show a bit more annoying.
WOOT!!!!! Dawson's Creek Reunion!!!! Grams and Pacey reunited!!!! I seriously love having Josh Jackson back on my screen every week.
Good episode, creepy, but loved that they delved into Walter and Peter's Background. :)

I agree with your take on the beaureucratic guy. Just an unecessary obstacle. Why couldn't his brains liquify?
I wanna read the letter to Walter!! Maybe I don't. I'm not really sure.
God, the little girl on the laptop hits way too close to home. So, the puppet episode of Angel has made very wary of leaving Piper alone watching TV, and now this will keep me looking over her shoulder when she's on the computer.
Why does Peter have to stay in the car? Chuck never does.

House: Crying babies make me lose my head.
House
Episode: Big Baby
She Said:
_____________________________________________________
Case of the week: Kid asks teacher to marry him, spills green glitter, little girl wets herself. Oh is she this weeks patient??? Then the teacher collapse with a bloody nose. Aha! We have found our patient. After cutting off her skull and getting spit up on by an adorable baby, we find out it is a birth defect causing all of the patients problems- but really, we all know it isn't about the patient, it is about how the patient affects the Team, right?
Cuddy and her foster baby: She wanted a baby so bad, it has been all we have heard from Cuddy for three years. Now she has one, and she's not feeling anything for it. I've always wondered if that happens. I can't imagine it... like PPD, I don't have that understanding. And yes, I remember that 2 months was when Piper fist smiled for real, and until that point in time she only pooped, slept ate and cried, but she was so beautiful to me. Wilson and his picture was a brilliant Wilson manipulation. Wilson, he is suppose to be the "good guy", but he is always proving House's one motto - Everybody lies. Eventually during a convoluted scene with with the patient's skull off her head, cuddy on speaker phone and the baby crying they connected. Cmon eveyone, let's all here it "Awwwww." The baby really is dang cute though!
Foreteen - she's getting the placebo, he's getting antsy and wants to give her the real drug, and I keep getting bored by their storyline. And Foreman needs to trim that beard. However, it does give us the basis for a classic House moment, giving Foreman advice, the right advice, and then flipping it on him as he is about to walk out the door. And it worked, Foreman followed his heart not his head.
Kutner and what's his face: well, what's his face doesn't do much in this episode, or for me in general. Same with the overused 13. I like that I don't know either of their names, it cements for me that I don't care about these characters and they are just stealing time away from those I do like. The only Newbie I like is Kutner. I love how he isn't afraid of House, I love that he throws smack back at him, I also enjoy that he tries to use humor and I've enjoyed seeing the twists and turns of his past.
Cameron :What! Cameron??? On my screen? Speaking? No WAY!!!!! TWICE!!!!! Three, Four - Five Six - I've lost count of how many times she has been on my screen. Taking over for Cuddy did good things for the character's screen time, but I guess she likes to be off screen. After realizing she will always say yes to House, so she up and quits, and will now return to her maybe 2 minutes of air time.
Chase, honey, you know you are my favorite, and you know that any moment you have on screen makes me happy, but seriously, dear, with such limited screen time, why aren't you combing your hair?
Chase and Cameron have been sidelined since their real life relationship went south...coincidence?
Next week is the 100 episode, and I'm already poised to not like it - Foreteen is front and center, while Chase and Cameron don't even make the scene. But that's ok, my blogs are better when I don't like the episode! :)

Maybe I've just been force fed 13 enough now, but she bothers less. They're going to lose her before the season ends anyways right? She'll die, and we'll all yawn.
Wilson getting caught with the picture was hilarious. The baby angle with Cuddy is better than I thought it would be. I didn't expect them to go the PPD-ish route, but it's an interesting and insightful thing to see.
You can remember his name is Kutner? Wow, I just think of him as Harold or Kumar (and I know that's not nice, he's doing well for himself).
It was great to Cameron...and there she goes. Oh well, fun while it lasted.

The baby really is dang cute though!

First off, love the title, this year the episode titles of Supernatural have been hiliarious. Let's not forget "Are you there God, it's me Dean Winchester."
Barry Bostwisk Alert! Wow Brad has some crazy almost flock of segulls! Frank would be so proud. :) In true Supernatural fashion I am hooked before the opening credits.
Number of times the phrase douchebag is uttered in this episode = 6
I really want to see 13 year old Sam with his Hat and Wand.
I do still wonder why every hotel the boys stay in look exactly the same - they all have the same lattice like structure leading to the doors.
Stupid CW LOGO!!! You couldn't see the name of the final card!!!!! Grr!! Argh!!
Favoite Lines:
Chief "Oh and before we start - what is your safe word?"
----------------------------------------------
Sam "Do you think we will die before we get old?"
Dean "Haven't we already?"
What am I loving about this season is the biblical nature of this year, the introduction of the Angels, and Lucifer. For the Winchester Boys to believe that God exists is such a thrill for me. I love the idea of God sending one of his angels to an unbeliever. I am still expecting this season to end with the Sam and Dean going up against each other and with Sam getting in the car with Ruby at the end of this episode, even after the angels have warned him against it, I'd say that is exactly where we are headed. Sam is still looking for the easy way out. Where as Dean has never really had it easy.

I thought Barry Bostwick was really good in the epsiode. Added a lot of heart to the character.
I enjoyed them railing on the likes of Criss Angel, who I also think is a douchebag.
I'm bored with this Ruby. Everytime I see her, I just groan. Were we that spoiled by the first actress? I just want this Ruby to go away, and I'm sure she will before the year is out.
Worst use of the CW logo. Doesn't somebody check these things and say, "Hey, the logo is blocking a critical part of the story. Can we get that fixed?"
The inevitable showdown of Sam vs Dean will be intriguing to see. Dean Winchester is still one of my favorite characters on TV right now.
Should they go for another season next year, I wonder what kind of story they would tell.

In this episode three elderly magicians are lamenting their place in life and being ripped on by the Hot Young mascara wearing magicians. When one of the older magicians decides to go all out and try an extremely dangerous act, he appears to fail, instead he lives and one of the younger magicians suffers the outcome of his trick.

BSG: A disappointment felt in my Soul

BSG - Episode 75: A Disquiet that Follows My Soul
She Said:
I know this is my first post and all, but what a frakked up mess of an episode.
Let's rewrite history - Callie who was in love and fiercely loyal to the Chief forever was TWO TIMING him with Hot Dog??? Seriously??? Wow... I take this revision to mean the writers had not chosen the final five cylons until after Chief and Callie had their son. Then all of a sudden there is a second cylon/human baby out there - hmm, they don't seem to want that now, so let's tarnish Callie now that she is gone. This also tells me there must be some sort of plan/purpose for Hera and Tighs/6 baby that having another cylonish baby out there wouldn't be quiet as cool.
Don't even get me started with Tigh/6 cuddling and cooing over the ultra sound - blech.
Fine, President Roslin - kill yourself, but when you are living in a place with limited supplies is it really a good idea throw away a buttload of drugs that ya know other people who may want to live could use.
Am I supposed to be compelled by Roslin's running and Adama's Teeth Brushing? However , Roslin, I'll will give it to you, you masterfully delivered your mnologue...
The mutiny angle is weak to me. However, the previews look a bit more promising.
Remember how good the first two seasons were... I want funny sex crazed Balthar back. I want the undeniable chemistry of Starbuck and Apollo. I want to know how they are going to tie all this up in 8 more episodes and give us a satisfying ending...or at least keep it interesting.

I agree with everything you say here. I have a feeling things are going to get better before the show ends, but I miss the way it was. So when all is said and done, I'm guessing the majority of supporting characters will be dead and one or two principles. Just seems to be where this is all going. That's going to suck.
I miss Balthar so much. He's puts me to sleep when he's on screen now. And I mean that literally.
Was Adama's teeth brushing a PSA or something?. Why don't they do a tie in with Sesame Street like Happy Days did when Fonzie and Richie showed us the proper way to brush our teeth.
Every week this doesn't get better, I'm just going to remember fat Lee and smile.
